Bias in the world of percussion - Mint Lounge

Globally, women percussionists are a small group, and in Indian classical music they are a rarity. A few have made it to prime-slot concert venues despite the challenges posed by the patriarchy, hierarchy and hereditary transmission of Indian classical music.
