𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?

Is it a bird’s cry above barbed wire?

A woman’s whisper in defiance of power?

A mystic’s chant dissolving caste?

Every August, we commemorate India’s independence from colonial rule. But the idea of 𝘮𝘶𝘬𝘵𝘪—liberation—has far older, deeper roots in our cultural soil.

In my upcoming musical production मुक्ति | 𝗠𝘂𝗸𝘁𝗶 – 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗴 I bring together music, poetry, and narration to reflect on how Indian poets across centuries envisioned freedom. Not just as a political milestone—but as a spiritual, social, and personal journey.

Through song, narration, and visual storytelling, we explore how their verses still speak urgently to us today.

From Akka Mahadevi’s refusal to be silenced to Chokhamela’s cry against caste, from Tyagaraja’s longing for detachment to Kabir’s call for inner awakening—each voice resounds with a different shade of liberation.

The production interweaves classical and folk compositions in multiple languages, supported by immersive narration and visual storytelling.

It is not just a concert. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙨—𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮?
