Join us on June 28th for a musical exploration of birds in Indian poetry

Birds have long inspired composers across musical traditions, their songs and movements echoing through melodies and metaphors alike. In Indian poetry, avian imagery often serves as a potent symbol—be it the koel's call evoking longing, the swan representing the soul's journey, or the parrot acting as a messenger of love. These feathered beings transcend mere ornamentation, embodying deeper emotional and spiritual narratives.

To delve into this rich tapestry where birds, poetry, and music intertwine, I invite you to 'Udaan—A musical exploration of birds in Indian poetry.' This concert explores avian motifs in bhajans, classical, and folk compositions from across India, all rendered in the Carnatic idiom.

Do join us if you are in Delhi. Kindly forward to your circles (music lovers & bird lovers) in Delhi. This is a free event - all are welcome.
